This is the first full week of fall, and this plan reads like it: a crockpot pot pie on Monday, two cozy soups, a cheesy meatball casserole, and a jambalaya that makes the whole house smell good by Saturday night. Most of the recipes this week are reader favorites, the ones you keep coming back to, so this is a good week to start if you’re new here.
It’s built the way it always is: a real calorie deficit, enough protein that you aren’t raiding the pantry at 9pm, and portions that sit well if you’re on a GLP-1 and eating smaller. Seventeen recipes, seven days, and a printable grocery list for every single recipe, so there’s no guessing at the store.
High Protein Snacks I Keep on Hand

7-Day Calorie Deficit Meal Plan (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
Every day below is three full meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner. Leftovers are planned in on purpose (Wednesday lunch, Friday breakfast, Saturday lunch and Sunday breakfast), so you cook less and still eat well all week.
High Protein Weekly Meal Plan That Actually Keeps You Full
Every dinner this week is built around a real protein: chicken three nights, a turkey meatball casserole, shrimp twice (the pierogi casserole and the jambalaya), and ground beef in the Crunchwrap bake. Breakfasts lean on eggs, Greek yogurt and protein powder so the morning actually holds you until lunch.
GLP-1 Friendly Meal Plan for the Week
If you’re on a GLP-1, smaller portions and protein-first plates are the whole game. Soups, casseroles and lettuce cups are easy to eat in smaller amounts, and most of these recipes portion out and reheat well, so you can split a serving across two sittings if that’s what your appetite wants.

Nutrition at a Glance
Nutrition marked (est.) is calculated per serving from each recipe’s ingredient list using USDA values, so brand choices can shift it a little. Numbers without (est.) come straight from the recipe card. Meals run lighter this week, which leaves room for one or two high-protein snacks a day. Protein is the priority all week: every dinner is built on chicken, turkey, shrimp or beef.
Calorie needs vary a lot from person to person, especially on a GLP-1 medication. Use this as a framework and check with your provider about the right daily target for you.
Tips for Making This Week Actually Work
- Start the pot pie before you leave Monday. The biscuits go on at the end, so the crockpot does the hard part.
- Bake the oatmeal cream pies Wednesday night. They cover Thursday and Friday breakfast and travel well.
- Double the chicken noodle soup broth. Keep the noodles separate so leftovers don’t turn mushy.
- Buy peeled shrimp once for the week. Wednesday’s pierogi casserole and Saturday’s jambalaya both use it.
- Swap freely. Don’t love a recipe? Trade it for any dinner from last week’s plan. Swapping one or two meals a week is how a plan sticks.
- Print your lists before you shop. Every recipe has its own printable grocery list linked right under it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this meal plan good for a calorie deficit?
Yes. The recipes are lightened-up versions of comfort food with lean proteins, vegetables and portion-controlled carbs. Your actual deficit depends on your own calorie target, so check with your provider on what’s right for you.
Is this meal plan GLP-1 friendly?
It’s built for smaller appetites: protein-first meals, soups and casseroles that are easy to eat in smaller portions, and leftovers you can split across two sittings.
How much protein is in this weekly meal plan?
Every dinner is centered on chicken, turkey, shrimp or beef, and breakfasts use eggs, Greek yogurt or protein powder. Protein per serving is listed under each meal, with daily totals from about 78g to 150g.
Do you really have a grocery list for every recipe?
Yes. All 17 recipes have their own printable PDF grocery list, linked directly under each meal.
Can I meal prep this plan?
Yes. The casseroles, soups, protein bars and oatmeal cream pies all keep well in the fridge for several days, and the plan repeats four meals as planned leftovers.
Can I swap recipes?
Absolutely. Swap any dinner for another dinner and any breakfast for another breakfast. The 8-Week Healthy Recipes Meal Plan has plenty of options.
Does this plan include WW points?
Where the recipe card lists WW points, they’re shown under the meal. Points values can change with the WW plan you’re on, so recalculate in the app for your plan.
