French toast is not something that should be just made on the weekends or on Christmas Eve. You can make this Easy Healthy Everyday French Toast Without the Fuss recipe on weekday mornings.
This is perfect for getting the kids off to school in the mornings. With my simple recipe, you use your oven and 1 sheet pan to make all the custardy golden slices of French toast. So there’s no more having to keep the first batch warm, while the next batch cooks like when you use a griddle. Also, no more dipping, flipping or waiting for the griddle to get hot – just deliciousness.
Using my recipe makes serving up Healthy Everyday French Toast easy and you use ordinary sandwich bread to get a crispy, creamy, custardy treat for breakfast. Want to know the secret to being able to make this recipe while the coffee is brewing? Using your baking sheet to pour the custard onto and then add your bread slices one at a time in 2 rows of 4 slices. This ensures even distribution of the sweet custardy deliciousness. And the best part is you use the same baking sheet to bake your French toast.

How do I make Easy Healthy Everyday French Toast Without The Fuss?
- Adjust 1 oven rack to the lowest position in your oven.  Adjust another oven rack 5-6 inches from your broiler element. Heat oven to 425 degrees.
- Spray the bottom and sides of an 18 x 13 rimmed baking sheet with the vegetable oil spray.
- In a bowl, whisk the eggs, vanilla, brown sugar replacement and cinnamon until everything is distributed and no egg streaks remain. While still whisking, add in melted butter. Whisk in milk.
- Pour the egg mixture onto the baking sheet. Arrange the bread slice in a single layer in the egg mixture. Just leave small gaps between the slices so the custard can flow. Working quickly, use your fingers to flip the bread slices in the same order you put them on the sheet.
- Let sit until the slices absorb the remaining custard (about 1 minute).
- Bake on the lower rack until the bottom of the slices are golden brown (about 8-10 minutes).
- Transfer sheet to the upper rack and heat the broiler. Leave the sheet in the oven.
- Broil until the tops of slices are golden brown about 1-4 minutes.
- Using a metal spatula, flip each slice and serve.
- This makes 4 servings (2 slices per serving). On the WW Plan, each serving is 8 Points. Enjoy!
- Serve with fresh fruit and a drizzle of sugar free syrup OR serve with fruit and a huge sprinkling of Lakanto Powdered Sugar for 0 PP!
