I don’t know about you, but my favorite fruit of all time is watermelon. I could literally eat a whole watermelon by myself everyday. Seriously. Eating watermelon is great in and of itself, but have you every tried a Watermelon Mint Frosé? If not, now is the time to try this Weight Watchers friendly alcoholic beverage. It is fantastic.
I never heard of a Frosé before. But we had a bottle of Rosé Wine we got as a gift and the bottle was getting dusty so I found this recipe and tinkered with it to make it Weight Watchers friendly.
So what is a Frosé? It is a slushy drink that includes frozen rosé or sweet vermouth and pureed strawberries or watermelon. It can also include lemon juice, sugar, and cranberry juice.
While my Weight Watchers Watermelon Mint Frosé does contain a Rosé wine, see the substitution below that I use for my 14 year old son to make it non-alcoholic. Since watermelon has amazing health benefits, I’m happy to make it for him.
As you may or may not know by now, I don’t count fruit that is used in a drink as any SmartPoints. Smoothies are a good example. I explain it all in this post. If you do want to count it as points, please feel free to do so.
