These are super easy to make and you may even have the ingredients on hand to make them right now.
I made these using strawberries, but feel free to substitute the strawberries for raspberries or use half strawberry and half raspberry for a super fruity flavor. The fruit choices are endless and at 0 SmartPoints per serving, these Weight Watchers 0 SmartPoint Citrus Strawberry Granitas don’t have to saved for dessert. Enjoy them anytime since you can keep this 0 SmartPoint Weight Watchers dessert in the freezer for up to 3 months. Granulated Swerve Sugar Substitute
Weight Watchers 0 Point Citrus Strawberry Granitas
1 1/4 Cups of Granulated Swerve Sugar Substitute
1/3 Cup of Water
2 Teaspoons of Shredded Lime Peel
2 Teaspoons of Shredded Lemon Peel
1/3 Cup of Orange Juice (No Pulp or Fresh Squeezed)
3 Tablespoons of Lemon Juice
2 Tablespoons of Lime Juice
5 Cups of Sliced Fresh Strawberries
DIRECTIONS:
- In a saucepan bring Swerve, water, shredded lime and lemon peel to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for about 5 minutes until the ingredients blend together. Strain and discard the lemon and lime peels and cool.
- Take half of the juice mixture and 2.5 cups of the strawberries and place in a blender. Pulse until smooth. Pour into a freezer container. (I used this one). Repeat with the remaining juice mixture and berries and pour mixture into the same freezer container.
- Cover and freeze at least 12 hours or overnight, stirring a few times.
- Before serving, break apart the ice mixture with a large spoon. This can be frozen for up to 3 months.
- This makes 4 Servings at 1 cup per serving and is 0 PP. The entire recipe is just 1 PP. Enjoy!
