Ingredients

  • 1 Packet Active Dry Yeast About 2 1/4 Teaspoons
  • 1 Tsp Sugar
  • 1.5 Cups Warm Water 110 Degrees Fahrenheit
  • 2.5 Cups All Purpose Flour
  • 3/4 Tsp Salt
  • 1 Tbl Olive Oil
  • Olive Oil Cooking Spray
  • 1 Tbl Fresh Rosemary Chopped or Broken

Instructions

  • In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together 2 1/2 cups of flour and 3/4 teaspoon of salt. Pour in the yeast mixture and 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Stir until just combined; the dough will be sticky.
  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it rise at room temperature for 12-18 hours, or until the dough has doubled in size.
  • Preheat the oven to 450°F (232°C). Place a piece of parchment paper in a 13 x 9 baking dish and spray it with olive oil vegetable spray.
  • Carefully transfer the risen dough to the prepared baking dish. Use a spatula or your hands (preferred) to spread it evenly.
  • Lightly spray the top of the dough with olive oil vegetable spray and then sprinkle with the rosemary.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the focaccia is golden brown and has a crisp crust. Allow it to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
  • This makes 8 servings and gives 8 long slices. Each slice on Weight Watchers will be 5 Points. 2 Slices are 9 WW Points.
