Assembly
In the 2-quart baking dish, begin by placing a layer of Nilla Wafers on the bottom. Add a layer of sliced bananas on top of the wafers. Spoon a layer of the prepared banana pudding mixture over the bananas, spreading it evenly. Repeat the layering process: add another layer of Nilla Wafers, followed by a layer of sliced bananas, and then a layer of pudding. Continue alternating layers until you've used up all the pudding mixture, ending with a layer of pudding on top.
For the Meringue
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a clean, dry bowl, beat the 4 egg whites with an electric mixer on medium speed until foamy. Add the cream of tartar and continue beating until soft peaks form.
