Savory Spiced Rainbow Chard

  • 1 Bunch of Rainbow Chard
  • 2 Garlic Cloves, Chopped
  • ½ Teaspoon Each Za'atar Seasoning, Salt and Ground Black Pepper
  • Juice of 1 squeezed fresh Lemon
  • Vegetable Cooking Spray
  1. Wash chard well and drain in a colander. Tear the leaves off the stems, while keeping the stems and leaves separated. Bundle the leaves and cut them into wide strips. Trim the stems, remove the strings on them and slice about ¼" thick.
  2. Heat a large skillet that has been sprayed with vegetable cooking spray over medium heat. Add in garlic along with the stems, za'atar, salt and pepper. Add in about ¼ cup of water. When the stems start to soften, increase the heat a tad more and add the leaves. Cook and stir about 3 minutes or until the leaves are tender.
  3. Turn off heat and squeeze a fresh lemon on top of the rainbow chard.
