This is a delicious sauce that is 0 Points and perfect to serve over the Swiss Meringue Clouds. I also pour this over nonfat cottage cheese for a delicious protein packed snack.
Ingredients
2 Cups of Ripe Strawberries (Hulled & Sliced)
2 Tablespoons of Granulated Splenda
1.5 Teaspoons of Cornstarch
⅛ Teaspoon each of Vanilla & Almond Extract
Instructions
In a bowl, combine strawberries and the Splenda. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.
Drain, but keep the juice from the strawberries. Set berries aside. Add water to the strawberry juice to measure ½ cup and pour into a saucepan.
Stir in cornstarch until smooth. Bring to a boil and stir for 2 minutes. Remove from the heat and stir in the extracts.
Pour over the reserved berries and fold gently. Chill and pour over the Swiss Meringue Clouds.
